Painting with a palette knife

Patrick Bauquel has been painting for ten years, but it was only recently that he developed a passion for the knife painting, mostly in oil and occasionally in acrylic.
I love the material, the spontaneity of the gesture, the sound of the knife on the canvas and, of course, the color.

My favorite subjects are Provençal landscapes, nature, sometimes still lifes and figures.

Côte fleurie - knife-edge oil

My passion for painting with a knife takes me on an artistic journey where oil and acrylic combine to capture the spontaneity of gesture and the depth of color. The landscapes of ProvenceThe elements of nature, still lifes and portraits are echoed in my creations. Immerse yourself in my unique artistic universe and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of my work.

It's fascinating to see how a simple touch of color can completely transform a work.
I love experimenting with different mixtures and textures to create unique, vibrant works.
For me, painting is a form of expression and liberation, a way of letting my emotions and thoughts take shape on canvas.
It's a creative process that allows me to connect with myself and others in a deep and meaningful way.
